Merrik Oliver Enszer

Introducing Merrik Oliver Enszer born May 20th at 11:18 AM. He weighs 7 pounds, 2 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. I got to hold him for about 2 minutes as the pediatric Dr explained to me that he looked completely healthy and great. But while I was in the recovery room after getting stitched up the Dr and Jacob came back in to tell me that every breath he had taken was extremely labored and he was humming with each breath. If he kept breathing like that for long he would wear out his little body and have a lot worse problems. They had to take him to a different hospital to be watched.
It has been a long couple of days. The Dr's have been running tests and trying to figure out exactly what is causing the breathing problems. After many tests they found that there is no infection his lungs are just not fully developed, he is anemic and he has a broken collar bone. The Dr talked to Jacob and I yesterday and explained that they were going to have been trying to let Merrik fix himself with just the little it of oxygen that they had been giving him but he felt like it was time for them to intervene. They put him on a ventilator to give his body a rest. They also gave him a blood transfusion to help with the anemia. Today he has been doing better. They are slowly weaning him off the oxygen and so far he has tolerated it really well. They are hoping to be able to take him off the vent tomorrow. I hope they are able to. I would really like to hold my sweet baby.

Kindergarten Graduation

Today was Mirra's graduation from kindergarten. She made it she passed. This is her cute teacher Mrs. Glover. The first part of the program was a letter parade where all of the kids had a letter and they had to make a costume to wear having to so with that letter. Mirra and I spent a lot of time making hers just perfect....

For the next part of the program they had all of the kids make a picture that had something to do with the song "What a Wonderful World." The kids were so cute.

I think the best part is that Grandma Nielsen was able to be there for it.

I now have a little lady heading into first grade. I am so proud of the work she has done. She is such a big help to me. I love you baby girl. Congratulations on your kindergarten graduation.

Almost there

Ok I have had several people ask me for pregnant pictures. I hate taking pictures of myself anyway but being this pregnant.... Anyway here is a picture taken in February at 27 weeks along.

This picture was taken yesterday.

The baby will be born on May 20th unless by some miracle my body decides to go into labor but that is really unlikely. I still have never had a contraction. I am a lot smaller then I was with either one of my other kids so maybe I wont have a giant baby. We will see. Mom will be here to help me on the 17th and she is staying for a couple weeks.
Poor baby boy still doesn't have a name. We will just have to name him before we leave the hospital. So one week and four days and we will have baby number three...

Enszer Family Reunion 2011

This last week we took off and went to spend a few days in Wisconsin. It was a very busy weekend but we all had a blast. This is the first time in a long time that the whole family was home at the same time. We wished that Kaylyn could have been there but we know she is doing what the lord wants her to be doing.

Here is the kids excited faces at the first of the trip. The first thing that Mason said to me the morning that we were leaving was at 6:45 in the morning when he came running in and yelled "we go to Grandma's not Mommy, Pleeeaaase!!!" It was hard to keep him entertained all day while we waited for daddy to finish his day at work. He was so excited to go. We got there late Friday night and just played games all night long. Saturday was a day of playing and reuniting. Jacob and I went to a bridal shower with Mom and Dad Enszer for a girl that Jacob baptized when he was in high school. When we got back we all prepared for the busy day the next day. Hayley made cake pops and we all had a lot of fun helping her. I don;t think she has ever had so many helpers in the kitchen.

While all the adults were chatting and playing games that night all the kids played duck duck goose on the living room floor. Mason thought he would help Mirra be it. They were so cute.

One of my favorite things about going to Grandma Enszer's is watching Mason and JV play. They can play all day and never make each other mad. I don't think that I have ever watched two little kids play as good as these two boys do.

On Sunday morning we all went to Mom and Dad's branch meeting. I think that we at least doubled the attendence for the day. We deffinently did in primary. Poor Ean was very sick throwing up though. Poor kid tried to come to primary but there was no way he could stay. After church his older brothers and his Dad gave him a blessing and we set off to go to his baptism.

Jacob and Warren spoke and did a great job. Ean was able stop stay healthy long enough to get baptized.

Right after the baptism we headed off to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed in a hotel called Mount Olympus. It was a lot of fun. It took 5 rooms to get us all in. The best part is we were all still in our church cloths when we checked in. Later that night Aubrey was asked if she was part of the church group that checked in that afternoon. In Utah I don't think anyone would have thought anything about it but she said the lady was in shock when she said we were not a church group we were all family. We went to a restaurant that night that delivered our food and drinks on an electric train that came around the tables. The kids loved it. I think that was the quietest Mason has ever been during dinner. He just sat there and watched the train go around. He loved it. It was a cute place. After we got the kids to bed the Moms and Dads met out in the hallway and chatted all night. I think people thought we were absolutely crazy but we had fun laughing and talking in the hallway of the hotel.

Monday morning all of the kids were so excited to go play. The first stop for the day was the indoor pool park that the hotel has. I think that all of the kids had their swim suits on by 8:00 the problem was that the pool didn't open until 10:00. Trying to chase around 15 kids for 2 hours between 5 rooms in a rather large hotel was kind of crazy. I think we lost most of them at least once. I think the other guests at the hotel probably wanted to beat us all by the time we left. When they finally got the OK to head down to the pool area we were very happy to take them down. The area was really nice. They had a huge area for little kids that Mason loved. He got really good at doing all of the slides all by himself. He loved it. They had a huge hot tube (which is where I would have been if I wasn't 8 months pregnant), a lazy river, and a few bigger slides for the adults.

After awhile though the kids got tired of swimming and hungry. We decided to leave and get lunch then see what the theme park at the hotel had to offer. It too was indoor. It was perfect. This being a Monday afternoon during the school year there was hardly anyone there to wait in line with. I had to go lay down for awhile because I didn't feel like I could walk anymore. Jacob was amazing and took both kids by himself to play. It is a good thing that we have family to help. They had a huge play area where the kids could shoot balls at the walls. It was kind of like a ball pit but not really a pit more like a jungle gym play place. OK not a very good discription but the kids loved it. They also liked the Rocket ride that pulls you up slowly and drops you down really fast. There was also a trolley ride, tea cups, bumper cars, go carts and a few other rides. The kids would get on a ride and keep riding it until they were sick of it. Most of the rides would end and one of the kids would yell out again and the person in charge of the ride would start it over. There were a few though that would make them get off and get back in line though. This was very pointless though as most of the time they would get back in the same seat that they had just gotten out of 2 seconds before. I wish that they would have made them get off the tea cupd though. Mirra made herself sick by the time we were ready to leave she was green from spinning too much. She also lost her voice. It was such a fun trip and so worth not telling my doctors that I was going on a 7 hour road trip 3 weeks before I will be delivering. There is no way they would have let me go and I am so glad i didn't have to miss out on the fun that we had.

Daddy's Home!!!

By the time Jacob comes home from work lately Mason needs time with his Daddy. He is so excited when Daddy walks in and asks to go for a ride. Jacob takes him out and holds him as he mows part of the lawn. With the five acres that we live on Jacob gets to go out almost every night. I think it took about a week to get through it all. Maybe we should plant a huge garden just so that Jacob wont have to mow that part of the lawn... The little tractor is the kids favorite thing and who new that Jake would look good as a farmer boy. Now we just need to get us all a pair of bib overalls and we will fit the part.

Easter 2011

It is so different not having family around for Easter. We got to do it all by ourselves this year. Friday night we painted the eggs. They turned out beautifully.

The kids were so proud of the eggs they decorated.
Saturday was filled with egg hunts and shopping. First was the hunt at Mirra's school. It is kind of nice being in a small town. There wasn't a whole bunch of kids there and both Mirra and Mason got quite a few eggs. They loved it. Mason for the second year in a row got the big prize. He loves his new blue bunny. Poor Mirra was not very happy about that though. Maybe next year she will get the big prize.

Then the young women in the ward had an egg hunt for all the primary kids.

Some of the eggs had candy in them but others had little sayings in them with other little toys. One had an eraser and and talked about how because of Christ our sins can be erased. Another had a bouncy ball in it and talked about bouncing back after hard times through Christ. Things like that. They were really cute.
Sunday morning the Easter Bunny found us and left us baskets and an egg hunt in the Library. The kids loved it. After church we played games and watched Tangled which Mirra got in her Basket.
